My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were incredibly dated and in need of many repairs, with an unpleasant smell of sewage and stale cigarettes. From dealing with a non-working elevator to being locked out of my room despite extending my stay, it wasn't the smoothest experience. However, the service provided was a mix of rudeness and helpfulness, with the staff being rude at times but also apologetic and offering a refund. The location had its perks but could use some updating, and the dining experience was disappointing, resembling a run-down apartment complex more than a hotel.

The rooms were incredibly dated and in need of repair, with an off-putting smell.

The service had its rough moments but also some cordial and helpful interactions.
Location
5.0
The location was a mix of positives and negatives, needing some updating yet having some convenient aspects.
Dining

The dining experience was disappointing, more like a hangout for smoking than a place for a proper meal.

The facilities had their issues, notably with the dated rooms and overall maintenance.

I can't say enough good things about my stay at this hotel in Southfield. From the impeccably clean and cozy rooms, the warm and welcoming staff, to the convenient location, it truly felt like a home away from home. However, the dining area could use some improvement in terms of ambiance and options, but overall, this is by far the best hotel in the area.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were spotlessly clean and inviting, making my extended stay a delight. Morgan, the manager, and Frederick, the assistant manager, ensured that everything was up to standards, contributing to the homely feel.
Service
8.0
The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Despite a minor inconvenience with the elevator, they were always attentive and helpful.
Location
7.0
The hotel’s location, though in an industrial area, was perfect for my needs near I-696 and Southfield. While the surroundings may seem a bit rundown, I found it very convenient for my stay.
Dining
6.0
The dining area, with its simple breakfast offerings in the lobby, was convenient but lacked a bit in terms of ambiance and variety. Don't expect a fancy dining experience, but it serves the purpose.
Facilities
7.0
I appreciated the basic yet functional facilities provided; nothing extravagant, but they catered to my needs during my stay.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, more like apartments, were spacious and the beds were clean and comfortable. However, there was an issue with the door lock that required me to switch rooms. The cleanliness and furniture could use more attention. The service was a rollercoaster ride - the manager was a disappointment, but staff members like Eirelle, Ashley, Vee, Morgan, Rena, and Monica truly shone, going above and beyond, especially in these challenging times. The location, although quiet, seemed a bit sketchy, but it was convenient for access. As for the dining experience, it fell short with just coffee, muffins, and granola bars, not exactly a fulfilling breakfast. Let's dive into the details.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms felt more like spacious apartments, and the beds were clean and comfy, although the door lock issue was a hassle. Cleaning and updating of furniture are needed.

Location
6.0
The location, though quiet, seemed a bit sketchy but was convenient for access to places like America Drive. The snowy surroundings added an interesting touch, although could benefit from some updating and cleaning.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience left much to be desired with just muffins and granola bars for breakfast, lacking variety and substance. The setup felt more like a run-down apartment complex scene rather than a refreshing meal option.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities overall seemed average, with some areas needing attention and improvement.
